The search fields will match whole words, so if you put in initiation you will not find initiations
If you want to search for parts of a word, then preceed or follow the word with *. For example, *ability will find responsibility and also capability.
Searching for khalif* will find khalif and khalifs and khalifa.
If the first search word starts and ends with /, then it is used as a "regular expression" (a geek term in computer science).
