Reason is like fire: it gives light to the thought, but thought overheated loses its power, as heat weakens the physical body. Reason gives birth to doubt which destroys the thought power before it is able to fulfil its destiny. The strength of thought-power consists in confidence or faith. Reason confuses, and doubts scatter the waves of thought-vibrations which disperse and go off in different directions from lack of the strength that binds.
